Professional Master's Degree in Recreation

The Professional Master's Degree in Recreation provides the required training to satisfy the demand for recreational programs that exist in today's society, thereby allowing the population to use their free time to their advantage and, as a result, improve their quality of life.

Overall Characteristics

  1. Start of Master's Degree. The Master's Degree in Recreation is offered in one generation of students at a time. When one generation ends, the next begins. The seventh generation will begin in March 2025.

  2. Required academic degree. The person interested in entering the Master's program must have at least a bachelor's degree.

  3. Required number of students per graduating class. The Postgraduate Studies System (SEP, an acronym in Spanish), is the university's office in charge of postgraduate programs and requires that at least 15 students register and enroll in the courses. The maximum number of students accepted for the Master's program is 18. The 18 students with the best grades will be admitted.

  4. Duration of the master’s. The plan consists of 60 credits and 13 courses in four semesters (four courses in the first three semesters and one course in the last semester). See the study plan in the attached file.

  5. Courses. The masters will be bimodal. Some courses will be completely in-person, some others completely virtual, and others bimodal.
