The Physical Education and Sports School of the University of Costa Rica has developed the Master's program in Human Movement Sciences to meet the challenge of today's evolving society. This program is capable of deepening and updating knowledge about the sciences of human movement under scientific criteria.

The program's curricular contents are organized according to the following axes:

-Theoretical Approach: It provides a deeper understanding of curricular topics related to physical exercise and health as a way to enhance life quality and to create a sportive culture.

-Methodological-research Approach: It provides fundamental tools for research which constitutes the central axis of the curriculum.

-Academic-professional Activities: These are tools to stimulate the acquisition of knowledge and creativity, as well as to take advantage of the student's experience and knowledge throughout academic and professional activities in their specific field of interest.

The School of Physical Education and Sports of the University of Costa Rica offers the Professional Master's Degree in Recreation to provide the required training to satisfy the demand for recreational programs that exist in today's society, thereby allowing the population to use their free time to their advantage and, as a result, improve their quality of life.
