Description
The course aims to provide the student population with some basic elements related to the preparation of training programs. The objectives, the parts that compose it and its practical execution with free body (self-loading), with free weight and with machines. As well as topics related to physical activity, exercise and sports.
Furthermore, the course will allow the student population to have valid foundations that allow them to make appropriate decisions in case they decide to make the practice of resistance training a permanent activity within their lifestyle.
General objectives:
- The university student population will stimulate the development of their socio-affective, physical-motor and cognitive channels, through active participation in the progressive lessons of the Sports Activity courses.
- You will acquire the knowledge and skills that allow you to integrate the practice of the activity into your life.
Specific objectives:
- Students will learn and apply some basic concepts of sports physiology and biomechanics applied to working with weights.
- They will know and practice different ways to warm up, as well as different physical conditioning strategies.
- They will be able to keep their own weekly training control charts.
- They will know and perform various exercises with and without weights to improve basic strength.
- They will be able to discriminate those basic flexibility and weight exercises that are contraindicated from those that are not.
