EF-7221 Basketball for Beginners Men



Description

The purpose of this course is to provide university students with the opportunity to acquire or improve their skills in the sport of basketball, through individual and group practices. It also aims to educate the student to practice sports in general.

This course aims to provide an approach not only to motor learning, but also to general knowledge of sport in the country. In addition to covering sports concerns on a global level.

 

General objectives:

  • The student population will stimulate the development of their socio-affective, physical-motor and cognitive channels, through active participation in the progressive lessons of the Sports Activity courses.
  • You will acquire the knowledge and skills that allow you to integrate the practice of continuous physical activity into your life, as part of the maintenance and development of your overall health.
  • Contribute to the comprehensive development of the university student through the physical, mental and social benefits that progressive and systematic physical activity produces in individuals.
  • Promote in students a positive attitude towards exercise and sports, which establishes the habit of systematic sports practice, as part of the maintenance and development of the student's comprehensive health.
  • Revitalize and strengthen the application of ethical-professional values, through active and creative participation in the academic spaces that the course offers.

 

Specific objectives:

  • At the end of the course the student will be able to execute two different types of dribbling, stops, passes and throws in a game situation.
  • Put into practice at least two basic principles of one-on-one marking during a basketball game.
  • Recognize and execute the basic movements of at least two defensive zones during a basketball game.
