This project presented the NATIONAL CONGRESS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS (CONGRESO NACIONAL DE EDUCACIÓN FÍSICA Y DEPORTE in Spanish). This activity originated from the history of congresses executed in the School (interviews with professors and retirees) and the necessity to evaluate other training and other projects of the academic unity, such as the symposium.

This congress is particular because the idea came in joint work from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), National University (UNA), Costa Rican Institute of Sports and Recreation (ICODER), Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and the National Olympic Committee (COM).

As well as it possesses a presidential decree and a letter from MEP indicating educational importance.

It is important to point out that the overall objective of the Congress is to train the population of Physical Education and Sports, through workshops that enable the updating of knowledge and the application of new pedagogical and methodological strategies in terms of excellence in work performance.
