EF-6101 Chess for Beginners Mixed
Description
It is expected that at the end of this course the student will know the fundamentals
basics of the game of chess, as well as its general rules. Likewise, it is desired that chess activity be valued as an important source for the integral development of the human being.
General objectives:
- The university student population:
- It will stimulate the development of their socio-affective, physical-motor and cognitive channels, through active participation in the progressive lessons of the Sports Activity courses.
- You will acquire the knowledge and skills that allow you to integrate the practice of continuous physical activity into your life, as part of the maintenance and development of your overall health.
Specific objectives:
- At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- Play a game of chess by moving the pieces correctly.
- Write down a chess game algebraically.
- Prevent frequent errors in the different parts of the game.
- Defend against elementary mate situations.
- Know the main provisions of the Official Chess Regulations.
- Apply principles of development, space and time in your games.
- Appropriately apply flexibility and muscle strengthening activities to
- promote their performance in chess or similar activities with high cognitive demand.
- Adopt basic eating and hydration habits that favor your performance in chess or similar activities with high cognitive demand.
